We appreciate your interest in the Community Health and Family Medicine Residency Program. Our program was established in 1973 and has trained hundreds of Family Physicians who practice throughout the United States and Canada. Graduates from our program practice in traditional solo practices, group practices, academics, emergency departments, and hospitalist groups.There are many advantages to training in an academic environment such as The University of Florida. Shands Adult and Pediatric Hospitals are vital components of UF Health, one of the top 100 integrated healthcare systems in the US. You will be trained in an environment that promotes only the highest quality of patient care by physicians and teachers dedicated to preparing you for your future professional goals. UF Main Street is our state of the art, fully equipped family medicine residency center that is only one of the 6 clinics within our Community Health and Family Medicine Department.

As your Residency Director, my goal is to make sure you receive the best Family Medicine education possible and we believe our Residency Program to be one of the best in the country. Our residents graduate as excellent physicians, great teachers, and critical thinkers equipped to practice Family Medicine in the 21 st century.Finally, Gainesville is a great place to live! We are conveniently located about an hour and half from beaches on both sides of the state. Orlando is less than 2 hours south and there are many great locations to explore all around us.
